Ashley is stunning, well obviously..she is Miss Universe Belize! Have you ever seen a diamond illuminate and shine in the sky? Well, I have! Yes I met Miss Universe Belize Ashley Lightburn. Ashley Lightburn is an Angel, Queen, Godess, Empress and most of all a Belizean woman like myself. Oh my gosh, It was like Destiny! Yes I met Ashley Lightburn Miss Universe Belize. Belize it or Not!

Ashley Lightburn Miss Universe Belize
Here’s the back story on the Queen of Belize. Ashley Lightburn is 26 years old and from my country- Belize. She was crowned Miss Belize on August 13, 2022, at Bliss Centre for Performing Arts, Theatre by the previous Miss Universe Belize Iris Salguero. Ashley studied both in Belize and at an International University in Rome, Italy. Ashley Lightburn is a banker and also a math teacher at the University of Belize! Imagine, Ashley Lightburn Miss Universe Belize is both beauty and brains! Wow, just wow! That definitely captured my attention with me being sapiosexual and having worked in the Offshore Banking Industry.
Ashley Lightburn departed the Philip Goldson International Airport on Jan 2 to represent Belize at the 71st edition of the Miss Universe Pageant. Well I am very excited and happy that she has been given the unique opportunity to represent Belize on the world stage and able to share some luxury Made in Belize products with other delegates.
Meeting Ashley Lightburn on New Years Eve in Belize City
Let me take you back to New Years Eve 2022 when I met a queen for the very first time right on the sidewalk at the roundabout in Belize City.
My anticipation was high, you could say I was anxious – shit… nervous as hell – as I made my way from Belmopan that NYE to Belize City to meet Belize’s very own epitome of what the Miss Universe Organization represents. After I arrived I really wanted to call or text her to let her know I was waiting but then again, she’s a Queen! Everyone waits on a Queen. Omg, the wait was worth the while! Yes, there she was! Strutting down a natural runway made by the setting sun.
Yeah, and there I was worrying about if I had forgotten to include anything in her personal My Belize Box I was carrying for her. Wait, press rewind, let’s go back to the first glimpse of Ashley I saw glowing in the sunset… Hmm. Our First Lady coming towards me. Wow!

My First Impression
Honestly, it’s still like a mirage. I’ll try to put the pieces together of my most momorable NYE. I think my first words to her was Hey Ashley! or was it “Hey Queen?” Ahah. This isn’t about me. it’s about Ashley – Ashley Lightburn. Miss Universe Belize. Oh yes, we were wearing matching colors. Black. I saw this mirage strutting down the sidewalk. Right, that’s sure got to be her. Definitely has that presidential posture. But, wait, here’s what makes Ashley so very interesting.
The Climatic Moment
It’s wasn’t her hour-glass body that I only got a glimpse of for a split seconds, it was her radiating face. Omg, so beautiful! Her skin tone is so smooth, her myriad complexions the ancient craft of mahogany. Okay, I could go on and on, it doesn’t happen that often that you meet such a beautiful creation whose glistening hair slips in shimmering cascades to the shoulders like a waterfall in a rainforest

Get it together Vondra. That few minutes we spent chatting felt like a moment in paradise. I had three packages for her. We both agreed to stay in touch. She asked me after what were my plans after. Well I was hoping she would have asked me be her plus one at some fancy New Years Eve party she was probably invited to, lol oh well at least I got to see her illuminating face one more time.

That was the message Ashley Lightburn sent to My Belize Box Instagram after she opened her Gift Box Collection. Ahh, what a sense of accomplishment I felt and a sense of relief. I’m delight that she was left speechless by the Miss Universe My Belize Box I personally curated for her. She also tagged My Belize Box in an awesome unboxing video that she thanked all the small business. This would never have been possible without you guys. I’m hoping we can all unite so that the Universe can see that although Belize is a small but exotic country, we have limitless potential.

To all you ladies, you are beautiful, okay? To get up on stage and represent your country in the Miss Universe Pageant… I am so in awe. I am starstruck that I can somehow resonate with all you contestants in some way. I’m a traveler and watching your journeys makes me reminisce about my journey to some of those countries. It makes me feel connected like I am there standing on the stage representing Belize. And moreover, I am ecstatic that Ashley Lightburn has been able to share with some of the other Miss Universe Contestants Made in Belize products from small businesses that have never had their products exported internationally.
